Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is going to be wonderful when all the construction is over! First off, my family and I are HUGE Disney fans!!! I LOVE Walt Disney World! Whenever I feel like we need a little family time Disney is where I want to be :) There is something for everyone. We have a 13 year old, a 10 year old and a 3 year old. With that age diversity Disney World is perfect for us.
The room was spacious for our party of five. We got the garden view because we are hardly in the room while at Disney and the view was not that important on this trip for us. On a side note, the club lounge offers a fabulous view through out the day! The only drawback on the room itself was that there was not a full length mirror in the room. But I guess that is fine, I really didn't want to see my tennis shoes anyway ;) Here are a few other pictures of the room.
We stayed at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort in January in a club level garden view room.
We had a late flight and did not get to the resort until after the King Kamehameha Club had finished serving the food presentations for the day, so the sweet manager at the front desk had a sampling of the desserts waiting for us. This was above his call of duty and we are very thankful for his service. It was such wonderful treat before bed.
The dessert offerings throughout our stay were very similar to what you see above. One night my daughter and I did go to the club lounge and have hot chocolate and a few desserts while watching the fireworks from the comfort of the lounge. It was perfect since this music was piped into the lounge. I would highly recommend this. The lounge also offers a light breakfast, snacks (think goldfish, jellybeans, nuts, cookies), appetizers, and then the desserts. A great website for detail information on the club lounge and all information on the Polynesian Village Resort is Tikiman Pages.
One tip if you are not staying on club level is to watch the fireworks from the beach. The construction of the bungalows does obstruct the view a bit but it is still nice to watch by the water. Speaking of the bungalows here's what we saw:
I think these are going to be spectacular!
We did have the opportunity to dine at Citricos on this visit but I'll post on that next :)
