AULANI = PARADISE

Aulani  is complete paradise!  Our family had a fantastic time at this hotel! I reserved the one bedroom Island view villa for our family of five but at check in we were upgraded to an ocean view!!!  We never get this kind of luck so we were beyond excited!!  It was late when we got to the room so we didn't get to see the view until morning but it was beautiful! The villa itself was extremely spacious with a kitchen area, banquet dining table, sofa bed and a hidden bed in the entertainment center.  The bathroom was accessible from both the foyer and the master bedroom.  The master bedroom had a king size bed, desk with a chair and a TV amore.  There were 2 balconies, one in the master bedroom and one in the living area.  I loved the colors of the Hawaiian decor and all the subtle Disney touches,   It was much more beautiful than these pictures depict: Now on to the resort!!  There i...

And We Are Off to Alaska....Disney Style!!

We were beyond excited for our cruise through Alaska's Inside Passage!  We had booked this cruise as soon as it became available but the dream of it goes back many years.  We couldn't believe it was finally time to board the ship!!  We made our way across the street to the Canada Place cruise terminal without having to tote our luggage (Thank you Fairmont Waterfront Hotel! )  Once we were through the security and the passport areas, we came to the lines to check in for the cruise.  The Castaway club line was longer than the regular line so we opted for the regular line.  This check in area is NOTHING like the Port Canaveral terminal in Florida!  Everything is temporary.  What seating they had were folding chairs and the check in areas were all little kiosk type desks on wheels.  It was a completely different experience.  They did have Characters in the corner on the left hand side as you enter the check in area but we didn't get a...

Cinderella's Dining at Citricos

Getting dining reservations at Disney World is not easy!  So I was super excited to get reservations at Citricos with Cinderella and her Princess friends!!  We were celebrating a big birthday for my daughter (10) so it was even more special.  We started off with a bakery basket filled with turnovers, muffins and croissants. For the entree, I had the grilled ham and biscuit.  This dish came with poached eggs but I substituted for potatoes because I am not an egg person. My son had the Mickey waffles (a must do on any Disney visit).  Did you notice the cups?  They turn blue when they are cold and guess what?  You get to keep them :) What a fun keepsake, especially since this is a limited time location while the castle is being refurbished.  And then.....there was the dessert: The picture does not give the little blue topped cream puff justice .  It was a perfect match to Cinderella's dress.    Speaking of C...
