On our first full day in Vancouver we decided to explore the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park . I have to admit I was a little apprehensive about this adventure but it turned out to be a splendid time! We caught the free shuttle right across the street at Canada Place and it wasn't long before we were there. The bus driver did a great job of telling us about the sites along the way. When you first go into the park there are large story books giving you the history of the suspension bridge and the area. I would have loved to read all the pages but the kids were eager to go into the park. I tried to skim the walls and speed read the books but I don't think I retained much.....actually I was probably just stalling from crossing that crazy high bridge (230 feet high) that was dangling 450 feet across the Capilano River!! Did I mention I don't really care for bridges? It turned out it wasn't time to cross the bridge yet :) ...
