Our Big Day Out With Thomas

We had such a fun time visiting with our friends from the Island of Sodor!  My 3 year old son is obsessed with Thomas and Friends, so it was a dream day for him!!  There were several activities to keep us busy before our big ride with Thomas.  There was a tent with Thomas mechandise (we spent a lot of time there), a magic show, a really small miniature golf section (perfect size for small children), story telling, a bounce house, a crane demonstration and other activites.   We were able to meet and take lots of pictures with Sir Topham Hatt (the line to meet him was rather long but moved quickly...there was neither confusion nor delay ;))     Like I said, we spent a lot of time in the merchandise tent.  They had some great stuff!  I was glad we stopped there first because we picked up the little engineer cap and my sweet baby wore it all day :)  We also got a Thomas whistle, PEZ dispenser, A Day Out with Thomas ...

Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort

We recently went on a long weekend trip to Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort.  It was so much fun!  We really only had two full days there but we tried to squeeze in all the activities we possibly could at this wonderful resort.  The resort itself is situated between a marina and marshland on the Broadcreek River and is a little over a mile from the beach.  But don't let that discourage you!  When you make it to the beach, there is the Disney Beach House with a lot of amenities, including a pool, located on the beach for resort guests.  Disney describes the resort as "a warm home-away-from-home—fashioned after a 1940’s hunting and fishing lodge."  We found it to be a relaxed, old fashioned family fun atmosphere.  The staff were friendly and courteous just as you expect and admire from Disney.  We loved it! Harry Connick JR and the Sheraton Downtown Nashville

We recently saw Harry Connick, JR in concert at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) in Nashville,Tennessee. What a treat!  Let me first say, if you have never seen Harry in concert before, put it on your bucket list!  He is such a talented musician and wonderful entertainer (the band is unbelievable too).  It was a wonderful evening and one that I will treasure! We stayed at the Sheraton Downtown Nashville.  It is a very short walk (basically across the street) from TPAC. The hotel has recently been renovated.  The room was a nice size for a downtown hotel.    Huge floor length mirror The bathroom was nicely updated (except the shower seemed to be older) They even provided a little bath pouf (so cute!)
